Charity

Sacramento Lodge operates the Otero Masonic Charity Fund. The fund is named after Miguel A. Otero Sr. who is the name-sake of Otero County. Brother Otero was a prominent attorney and Freemason who held a number of territorial government positions. He was a member of Montezuma Lodge No. 1 in Santa Fe.

The charity fund is supported by fund-raising efforts and donations. Donations can be made at the Lodge or on-line at our Payments page.

The Lodge's charity work centers around providing relief for people who find themselves in a temporary hardship and an annual scholarship.

Each year the Lodge selects an Alamogordo High School graduate to receive a $2,000 scholarship to attend NMSU-Alamogordo. Please email the Lodge for an application.
